About Dunn County  

Dunn County was established from Chippewa County in 1854 and split into Dunn and Pepin Counties in 1858. It borders Barron County, Chippewa County, Eau Claire County, Pepin County, Pierce County, Polk County, and Saint Croix County. More so, it is named after Charles Dunn, the pioneer Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in Wisconsin who served between 1836 and 1848.
