About Kenosha County
Kenosha County counts among the U.S. state of Wisconsin counties. The county is positioned in the southeastern corner of the U.S. state of Wisconsin, where it forms boundaries with five other counties; Racine County to the North, Allegan County, Michigan (east), Walworth County (west), Lake County, Illinois (south) and McHenry County, Illinois (southwest).
Based on a U.S. Census Bureau report, the county occupies a total space of 754 square miles (1,950 km2), with 272 square miles (700 km2) being dry land and the rest water. By 2020, the population existing here was 169,151 people, dominated by the White race occupying over 85%. The other races are Black or African-American, Native American, Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latino, among others smaller groups.
Administratively, Kenosha exists under 23 elected Board of Supervisors who controls policies and functions of the county. In their close support, the team works with other elected special committees like the district attorney, clerk, Sheriff, treasurer, and office of Register of Deeds.
