Racine County is located in southeastern Wisconsin. It is situated along Lake Michigan, approximately 25 miles south of Milwaukee and 60 miles north of Chicago. The County’s population was 197727 as of the 2020 census making it the fifth most populous county in the state. Its county seat lies in Racine. Racine County was established in 1836 and was part of the Wisconsin Territory. It comprises the Racine metropolitan statistical area and is included as part of the Milwaukee-Racine-Waukesha combined statistical area.
